Wilko Johnson was lead and rhythm guitarist with Canvey Island r&b band Dr Feelgood on the London and SE pub circuit back in the days when r&b was R&B and not Craig David. I saw them in Chatham in the early 1970's. There used to be some good gigs in Gravesend too, viz. Brinsley Schwarz, Bees Make Honey. Ah, my children, what you have missed by not being as old as me. Back in the days before Aaron had a library ticket.
